As you know, when we first met, I had recently moved to the East and was searching for a Taxidermist located within driving distance that would be the “artist of choice” for my new African mounts.  I did a lot of searching and visited a few other taxidermy studios.   After critically evaluating them all, you were my first and only choice!!
After seeing (and touching) the first installments of my plains game offerings, I am delighted to say, that my evaluation was correct.  Here is how I see it:

  • Game was mounted by you and not a helper.
  • Like Ford, Quality is “Job #1”.
  • Close communication and good follow-up.  Your help was critical in getting my capes and horn out of South Africa and through US Fish & Game and Customs.
  • Since you are an African Hunter you know what they look like alive.
  • Your request of having detail photo’s of the game taken to insure the mounts retain all the markings was for a reason.
  • You do African species on a routine basis, so you are familiar with their uniqueness and that was translated effectively in your work.
  • You fixed / repaired the Warthog snout in a seamless fashion. Simply excellent.
  • Your renditions are lifelike with the detail (veining, muscle line, etc.) and that was expected, but you went the extra mile and even added the extra touches (moisture droplets on the whiskers, for instance) that further reinforced your care for being right.  Expressions were appropriate to the game.

Needless to say I am delighted with your work and looking forward to receiving the remainder of my critters.  Obviously, you are my go-to-guy for any other work as well.  Thanks again for you do first rate work.

"The mount was very impressive. It was just as you described, including that a photo did not do it justice. Thank You for the piece and your wonderful service and emails."

We commissioned Wildlife Artistry Taxidermy to make a 50lb Flathead Catfish for our office and trade shows. When we looked for someone to handle this your company was recommended to us by several different people, as a  company that could accurately replicate the fish we needed. We were extremely anxious to get a perfect replica to represent  our association. When we received the fish we were extremely happy to see that the fish was perfect in every way. It was by far the best job  we had ever seen. I would like to thank your company for helping us with a replica that we can exhibit proudly. Thanks again for a job well done.

The foremost thing I notice in Larry Reese's taxidermy work is how totally lifelike he makes the animals look. I have one of his deer mounts in my office and I can't tell you how many times it has suddenly caught my attention, and for a split second, I thought, "There's a deer." I have three other mounts in there also, and I never have thought that about them. Larry's work is exceptional!!!!

Larry has done a Pintail for my son, and is doing my African trophies. The Pintail was beautiful, and the two African trophies which I have received are the best taxidermy that I have ever seen. Larry is a true artist, and his mounts are extremely lifelike. He is also a very responsible businessman, and takes pride in his work.

After being bitterly disappointed with shoddy work and promises that were not kept I was lucky enough to come upon the website entitled "Wildlife Artistry Taxidermy." I was impressed with what I saw but was wary until I actually spoke to Larry. This is a man who works diligently seven days a week and has such a love for his craft that it shows in each and every piece he makes. His talent is unsurpassed and the realism especially in the waterfowl I received from Larry, literally took my breath away. The latest piece that Larry lovingly preserved for me was a magnificent mallard duck and our next project is going to be a full habitat scene which I am very excited about.

Sincerely, Louise Glass

Larry,
It is now 4:45 on Wednesday. I just removed the top and front side of the crate to inspect for damage.
This animal came through the trip in perfect shape, thanks to your packing. You are indeed a professional.
Larry, the head is magnificent. You were right. Much more beautiful in 'the flesh'. It actually looks alive. I am thrilled with the mounting. WOW!
As soon as I get it hung, I will send you a picture
in its final setting.
My sincere appreciation for your work and effort to get it to me in time for our Thanksgiving house warming.
Please put me on your list to recommend for future clients.
